I specialize in anxiety conditions, OCD, and insomnia. This includes generalized anxiety, panic disorder, social anxiety, health anxiety, specific phobias, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I also offer CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I) for people struggling with chronic sleep difficulties, and SPACE — a parent-focused treatment for caregivers supporting a child or teen with anxiety or OCD.

Yes. I work with people navigating a range of life challenges — including depression, grief, health-related issues, stress, life transitions, relationship patterns, identity development, and self-worth concerns. Using mostly Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and psychodynamic approaches, I help clients develop greater self-awareness, build psychological flexibility, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and manageable.

Exposure and response prevention (ERP) is the gold-standard, evidence-based treatment for OCD. It works by gradually helping you face situations that trigger obsessions while resisting the urge to engage in compulsions — and over time, this breaks the cycle that keeps OCD going. ERP has the strongest research support of any treatment for OCD, and I have specialized training in delivering it. If you've tried talk therapy before without much relief from OCD symptoms, ERP is likely what was missing.

CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I) is the first-line recommended treatment for chronic insomnia — recommended above sleep medication by the American College of Physicians. Rather than masking the symptoms, CBT-I addresses the thoughts, behaviors, and patterns that are actually maintaining your insomnia. It typically produces more durable results than medication, without the side effects or dependency concerns. I completed training in CBT-I through the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine.

Yes. I offer telehealth therapy to clients located anywhere in Idaho, Wyoming, and Utah. Virtual sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform and work well for most of what I treat. Many of my clients live in rural areas — including Teton Valley, Jackson Hole, Moab, and surrounding communities — where specialty mental health services can be hard to find locally.

Yes. In-person sessions are available at Rooted Therapy Cooperative, located at 1300 Arrowhead Plaza Way in Driggs, Idaho, in the heart of Teton Valley. I do work remotely for 3–4 months of the year, so while in-person is the norm, some sessions will shift to telehealth during those periods. I'll always give clients advance notice so we can plan accordingly.

I work with older teens (typically 16 and up) and adults of all ages. I also support parents navigating their child’s anxiety or OCD.

I am in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Regence, and SelectHealth. For clients who are out-of-network or prefer to pay out of pocket, my standard session fee is $125. A sliding scale is available for those who need it — just ask. I can also provide a superbill for clients seeking reimbursement from their out-of-network insurance plan.

It depends on what you're working on. Evidence-based treatments for anxiety and OCD are generally structured and goal-directed — not open-ended. Many clients working on a specific anxiety concern or OCD see meaningful progress within 12–20 sessions. CBT-I for insomnia is typically completed in 6–8 sessions. That said, I tailor treatment to each person, and some clients continue beyond that depending on their goals.

The first session is a dedicated intake appointment — a chance for me to understand what's bringing you in, learn about your history, and get a clear picture of what you're hoping to get out of therapy. Depending on the complexity of what you're navigating, the getting-to-know-you phase typically takes 1–3 sessions before we move into active treatment. You're welcome to ask me questions throughout — finding the right fit matters, and I want you to feel confident about working together.
